Our Pear up campaign is closing in on its final days and we are half way from our goal. We want to thank everyone who has supported the cause and shared, liked, and participated in the campaign.
It is a simple and easy campaign that allows supporters to follow a few easy task that will lead to our sponsor donating for each completed task. So far we have raised $100 with our efforts in 5 days. With 5 days to go we believe we can reach our goal of $200. All we need is your help and support to make this happen. Click the link below if you want to be a supporter of this campaign or get in contact with us if you want to donate directly to the cause (School Supplies and Monetary donations are welcomed) or have other fundraising Ideas we can help with.
Our goal is to work with the community and build from the ground up. Even a small effort can turn into a big success with the help of everyone. This Book Bag drive is a start of something beautiful so bear with us as we attempt to do positive things in the Tucson community and grow a business at the same time. Nothing happens overnight but we will work diligently to show our honest effort. #GetBuckets
Some more information about our Sponsor CustomInk
The CustomInk story began in 1999 when three former college classmates got the bug to start a business about a year after graduating. Co-founder and CEO Marc Katz was hard at work in a Wall Street job that he says "didn't have a lot of heart" and was itching to do something entrepreneurial and meaningful.
As we get closer to the season, our efforts from the summer have started to generate interest around the city. We have a responsibility to present the best product available on the basketball court. Even in our first season we want to represent Tucson to best of our ability. Even if it is winning our own division to prove ourselves to rest of the teams that is what we set eyes on. At this moment we have 9 teams including your Tucson Buckets (Negotiations for 2 more expansion teams are in the work) in our respective division. The ABA is made up of nearly 80 teams. The owners of the Arizona, California, and Las Vegas organizations have decided to focus closely on developing a strong division this is the only way to secure that we play a full schedule
Our plans are to raise the level of basketball on the west coast. We have an opportunity to help young men take the proper steps to reaching their basketball goals and we take pride in that. We want to deliver Tucson bred players to the highest level of basketball or to lucrative contracts overseas. The possibilities are vast and with a unified division we will be able to accomplish our goals. The 9 teams that will be representing the AZ/CAL Division will be:
San Diego Surf- San Diego, California
California Sea Kings- Seaside, California
Central Valley Titans
Las Vegas Jokers- Las Vegas, Nevada
Arizona Scorpions- Glendale, Arizona
Oceanside A-Team- Oceanside, California
Orange County NovaStars
Los Angeles Slam- Los Angeles,
Tucson Buckets- Tucson, Arizona
Saturday Afternoon we scheduled an exhibition game against the Las Vegas Jokers a fellow ABA team with some of our tryout participants who we felt deserved some extra attention. We are closing in on the final stages of picking our team and the exhibition game gave us some great confidence about the direction we are headed. We handed the Jokers a good butt kicking as we piece together a team of new comers. Even though we may not have a full roster our intention to be a great franchise was on display. Coach Mario Ramirez and his staff did a great job on short notice. We look forward to bringing Tucson more Exhibition games before the seasons starts this November. We will be posting more footage and pictures from the game throughout the week.
We took the W 141-101 in our first ABA presented game. We want to thank everyone who made this game come together. Tino's Pizza for the lunch and the Pascual Yaqui Wellness Center for hosting our event. We also want to send a thank you to our competitors the Las Vegas Jokers who took the opportunity to travel to Tucson to make this entire thing happen. We look forward to playing in the season. #GetBuckets
